OakGlenn Vineyards & Winery is situated high on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River. One of the first things you'll encounter when visiting us is the breathtaking view of the river valley. Live entertainment is featured on our outdoor patio or stage most Saturday and Sunday evenings starting in April and running through November. Oktoberfest concert events take place every weekend in October. As we like to say, "We'll see you on the bluff."

Built in 1871, the German School Building at the corner of Fourth and Schiller streets served as Hermann's elementary school until 1955. For much of its history, the school was bilingual, with classes taught in both English and German.

Our Black Shire Distillery just opened in Hermann for tours and tastings celebrating the artisanship of Black Shire. After years of planning, we recently opened in a very historic site where the family that settled this homestead began distilling here back in the 1840's. We are currently producing the finest Vodka, Gin, Hallelujah White Whiskey and Eau-de-vie Vin. We are very proud of our signature products and are eager for visitors to taste our products.

The 240-mile Katy Trail State Park, the nation’s longest rails-to-trails project, is located just across the river from Hermann. The flat, hard-surface trail, where Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad trains once ran, is open year-round, dawn to dusk, for the enjoyment of cyclists, hikers and joggers.
